My name is Megan Cronin and I'm a Playwright and Theatre Director. I come from a working-class background in South London. I've been often shocked by how few working-class voices there are in Theatre. Especially when considering that in the last 100 years our greatest cultural innovations have come from such voices.
I explore science, philosophy and human connection through bold and thoughtful writing. I trained to be a director at The University of Kent's Masters Director Program. I am a member of the Young Vic Genesis Director's Program. In 2019 I wrote and Directed CARNATION FOR A SONG at The Young Vic Theatre alongside Composer Joe Atkins.
Writing THAT REVEALS THE EMOTIONAL FRICTION THAT EXISTS IN THE LIVES OF EVERYDAY PEOPLE. Struggle, Integrity and Emotion.
Untold or retold, everyone's got a story
